*OMG* flood in Kuching

Got news from my mum & friends in Kuching saying that Kuching had a terrible flood after a few days continuous rain. Here are some photos which I took from another website.



Oh! So sad! We need RAIN here in Australia. Now it's 41.6°C. On Wednesday afternoon, it was 46°C <--- the hottest day in this 70 years. Can you believe it? No one want to go out, they just want to stay in room for the air conditioner. I wish to have rain here.

41 degree again!!!

We all ( Gordon, Daniel, Jee, ChuiSan, Florence, Esther, Brigid, Audrey, Maggie & me ) dressed up very FORMALLY and had our 'reunion dinner' at Cafe Primo. It is an Italian restaurant. I felt sorry for not going to a Chinese restaurant.

CHINESE NEW YEAR = AUSTRALIA DAY = JEE'S BIRTHDAY

Wow...So many celebration at the same day and same time. What a memorial day for me. This year Chinese New Year falls on 26 January 2009. I like Chinese New Year. It has so much fun for me. This year, I do not get to have reunion dinner with my family and relatives, BUT I spent my Chinese New Year celebration with my dearest fellow and friends. =)

What a bloody 36 degree today! Though it was hot and warm, we came up of an idea of spending our day at Glenelg Beach. There were heaps of Aussie celebrating Australia day at the beach. I guess this Aussie young fellows were considered more patriotic than Malaysian 'orang muda'. They were carrying Aus flag, singing Aussie national anthem, and even wearing pants/bikini printed with their national flag.


We had fun in the sea. Now we all had sun-burn. We had our dinner at The Oyster Shop. Although I had so much fun, but eventually it was very tiring.

I'm really sick of work this days. Finally got a day off tomorrow. Will be going shopping with my friends tomorrow. Yeh... Just received my CNY ang-pao from my grandma at Kuching, some clothes bought from my mum. I can wear the dress she bought me on Monday. Thanks mum!

“今年一定回家过年！”这句话年年说，可往往不能兑现。
回家过年是非常寥寥。 身在千里之外，又有工作缠身，不可能三天两头往家里跑。
只能用电话问候、报平安。这些年来，我无不挂念着父母。
每当想起，我都自责，心一阵阵的疼痛。作为长子，没尽多少孝心。
我的人生也许不会有多大成就，但我总想让父母看到我精彩的人生。
这也许是父母的心愿与安慰。 我努力着，思念着。
真的，每当人生收获的时候、每当夜深人静的时候、每当孤独失落的时候、每当春节来临的时候，我都会想家，都会思念乡下的父母。
不论我走千里万里，不论是我多么有成就，家是我心灵的港湾，是我生命的归宿。
在我的心里，家的观念越来越重，父母越来越成为我生命的一部分。

Yeah! Just received COE (Confirmation Of Enrollment) from UNI SA.
My uni will start in July 13.
The only thing I have to do now is to get a new student visa to stay in Australia.
Anywhere, I'll going back to Kuching in March. Can't wait to go back. =)

What a day!

So many things happen nowadays. Have been working on late shift, sent Angela off to Perth (at airport), before she leave, we went out together, went to bank and immigration & finally to settled my application and enrollment this afternoon at the UNIVERSITY of SA. It was tiring though. The weather this days was terrible! It went up to 42 yesterday. Last but not least, I've booked air ticket back to Malaysia in March. Can't wait to go back. =)

So yea, went to sent her off at Adelaide International Airport. After she checked in, we went for ice-cream at Chocolat. MALAYSIA AIRLINE

We were having fun, taking photos together. Then we did not realize that she was on FINAL CALL. The stewardess was calling for her name - ANGELA KUA. lol... She had to run all the way to the gate. Lucky she was in time to catch her flight.
I miss Angela!!! She has gone to Perth. I hope to meet her up went I get to Perth in March. Although things has changed, but our friendship will never fade.

Outing

Went outing with Angela, Phoebe and Penny on Friday. We went outing for the whole day actually because Angela will be going to Perth then Singapore soon to continue her career (hotel management).
Went to eat Singapore chicken rice at food court, then went to Rundle Mall for window shopping. All of us accept Phobe bought something. She bought plush to decorate her car. *wink wink*. Actually we planned to go to beach, but we felt very lazy to travel all the way to Glenelg Beach (by tram). So we decided to go to KTV at K BOX. We sang for 3 hours. ==

Something scary happened. When Angela & Phoebe sang 掌心 by 光良品冠, they told us (in that MV), actually was a bit hunted. Make me scare!!! Did not dare to go to the toilet to do a wee. *gosh... ...* After 3 hours singing, we took photos in the room. Then the person working came in.


She said “你们的时间到了。”
Penny “可以给我们五分钟吗？”
Girl “你们要拍照吗？”可是有人订了这间房间了。”
Then we had to leave lo... What to do... 5 minutes also doesn't let go of us. -.-"

After that, we went to Rundle Mall again for window shopping. Phoebe bought some trousers in Just Jeans'. At 9 o'clock, all the shops close, so went to Hungry Jack's to have dinner? supper? We had a good time actually. We talk and laugh like there's no tomorrow. People besides us keep looking at us, wondering we were mad girls. hahaha...

While waiting for bus at 2220, we went to took some photos for memories. Here comes our pretty faces...

Permanent Hair Removal

Came across something interesting in COSMOPOLITAN last night.

"Laser is a great option for anywhere on your body, the hair just needs to be thick and dark enough for the laser to travel to the root - and you also need a pretty high pain threshold."

That's right! What I want now is a PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL at my leg. I've been spending on waxing and shaving products but all it can do is to remove hair TEMPORARY. There are several methods to remove the hair on our body.

Laser hair removal uses a single wavelength of light (laser) to target, heat and damage hair follicles. Laser hair removal is much less painful than waxing, plucking or electrolysis.


Electrolysis works by inserting a fine needle into the hair follicle and applying an electric current to destroy the hair root. The loosened hair is then removed with tweezers.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) works on the same principle of heating and damaging the hair follicle, but instead of using a single wavelength a flash lamp emits hundreds of wavelengths in each burst of light.

I'm still considering those two methods - laser or electrolysis. I think both are painful, but I'll enjoy the results. I'll go to any beauty salon to ask for the price.

Work!!!

This morning I did laundry job. I didn't do laundry job for so looooooong! Actually this shift was belong to my colleague, Christina, but she gave it to me, so... ... have to do lo! $$$ come wor... (But bit lazy to get up because of the weather 32 degree)

I hate doing laundry especially summer time, imagine 2 washing machines + 2 dryers running at the same time, + A FAN! MAKEs ME WANNA FAINT! peace off of laundry job. No break somemore.

Althought I finish washing all the linens, but one of the washing machine was broken! The lock for the machine has loosen. Needs repair as soon as possible.

Anywhere, head off to work again tomorrow afternoon @ 1630. Will be back to blogger soon! Ta.....

Weekend

I miss my blog!

I haven't been blogging for a long time. Have been hanging out with my classmates this few days. We went shopping, sight seeing, eating and chit chating.
There were cheap (cheat ) sale everywhere. -.-" They cheat our money away by selling cheap stuff.
I bought something for my mum and my brother. I have no idea what to buy for my dad. Still wondering...
It was very hot this afternoon when we went out. The city was crowded with people.

*Mum and dad! I miss you at home. Miss all the cheap food, but I can taste it soon. haha... xd

It's 2009. Let's welcome the new year 2009 and say good-bye to 2008. Let's forget about the past and start a new 2009 life. Let's pray that this year will bring joy and happiness. Thanks to everyone who has brought me happiness and memories in the year 2008 especially my family, friends and my love one. In the year 2008, I've done my Diploma in Nursing. Now in the year 2009, I'm going to study hard and achieve what I want.

Day Out with friends

Today was a tiring day for me. Went out with Doreen at 1445. She drove and park her car at China Town. She bought some Nugget and Kangaroo key chain for her family. She will be back to Sibu in a few weeks time. After that we went to Rundle Mall by tram. Went to PriceLine to buy skin care, Harvey Norman and Woolworth. I bought 'present' for my lovely brother. Hope he likes it! =) I got home at 1830.

After I dressed up, then went out for dinner with Phoebe. We wanted to eat steak. So she drove all the way to ChinaTown again. -.-" We could not find a restaurant which we could eat steak because it was all Chinese restaurant. So I said " 我们来错地方了拉。。。我们应该找ang-mo的地方吃牛排" So we ended eating in PanCake House. We ordered Mushroom Steak. YUMMI... ...

After dinner, we went to Elder's Park. It's actually like a garden. I though we could have a walk there, but when we were about to arrive, it was full of people. They were all lying on the grass and preparing for the 12am countdown. ==

Actually I still plan to go out with my friends for countdown. But after I came back at 2100, I felt so lazy and tired. So I showered and dress into my sleepwear. Quickly send a SMS to Phoebe to tell her that I felt so tired. SORRY GUYS...
